Carla Torres won a eight-round majority decision over Pink Tyson in a junior lightweight bout. Torres, 129.6 lbs of Cleveland, OH won by scores of 80-72, 77-5 and 76-76 and now is 7-6. Tyson, 130 lbs of Brighton, ENG is 11-3.

January 29, 2022 – Monaco Hotel & Resort, Villa Carlos Paz, Cordoba, Argentina
Super bantamweight Marianela Soledad Ramirez, 122, won by a first round TKO over Natalia Josefina Alderete,  119¾. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds.  The two were fighting for the vacant South American Super Banweight title.

Featherweight Eva Cantos had a four-round draw with Karla Marida.

Ellen Simwaka, 121 1/4, won by a fourth round TKO over Gabisile Tshhabalala, 119 1/2.  The bout was scheduled for six rounds.

January 22, 2022 – El Remanso Deportivo Merlo, Merlo, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Flyweight Gabriela Celeste Alaniz,  111 1/4, won by a fourth round TKO over Johana Zuniga, 110 3/4.  The bout was scheduled for ten rounds.

January 22, 2022 – Liceo Fernando Ariztia, Copiapo, Chile
Super lightweight Vicky Quevado, 140, won a four-round unanimous decision over Barbara Velasquez, 140.  Velasquez was making her pro debut.

January 15, 2022 – Palacio de Los Deportes, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Flyweight Romina Gisel Sosa, 110 1/4, had a four-round split draw with Carolina Ornella Ferrari, 110.  Sosa moved her record to 2-0-4, and Ferrari is now 2-0-2.  According to the news media the fight was a closely fought fight between these two, that ultimately ended in a split draw.  The judges scores were 39-38.5, 39-38.5, and 39-39.

The cards determined a draw but in divided failure, one of the judges saw the visitor winner 39-38.5, another at the local 39-38.5 and the last 39-39. The record of it is now 2-0-4.

January 14, 2022 – Centro de Convenciones Vasco Núñez de Balboa (Hotel El Panama), Panama City
Gabriela Fundora, 112, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Nataly Delgado, 111.  The final judges scores was 80-71 on all cards.

January 8, 2022 – Palacio de Los Deportes, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Super lightweight Micaela Diaz, 138 ¼, won a four-round unanimous decision over Brenda Lorenzo, 139.

Light flyweight Evelin Bermundez, 107 ¾, won by a third round TKO over Yaditza Perez, 107 ¾. The bout was scheduled for ten rounds. The two were fighting for the IBF Light Flyweight title. In a second female bout, flyweight Roxana Bermudez, 110 ¼, won a six-round unanimous decision over Victoria Benavidez, 110 ¼.

Super bantamweight Paulina Aparicio Moyeda, 120¼, won by a second TKO over Alexis Martinez, 118¼, pro debut.  The fight was scheduled for four rounds.

Welterweight Micaela Diaz, 139,  of Buenos Aires, won a six-round unanimous decision over Micaela Milagros Cabral, 140 3/4.  Final judges scores were 59-55, 59-55, and 59-56.

February 25, 2022 – Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan
Atom weight Ayaka Miyao, 101 3/4, won a ten-round majority decision over Eri Matsuda, 102.  The two were fighting for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) World Atom title; in a second female bout, atom weight Nanae Suzuki, 101, won a ten-round split decisoin over Mika Iwakawa, 101.5.  The two were fighting for the WBO World Atom Title.

February 19, 2022 – Manchester, IK

Jaime “Hurricane” Clampitt capped a banner weekend for CES Boxing Saturday night with a unanimous decision win over Kim Wabik at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, her first victory in nearly a decade.  The 45-year-old Clampitt (23-5-2), a Warwick, RI, resident who came out of retirement last summer two years after being inducted into the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame, headlined CES Boxing’s 2022 debut and its inaugural event at the Crowne Plaza.

Super bantamweight Juliana Vanesa Basualdo, 122, won by a fourth round TKO over Lilian Dolores Silva, 121.5.  The bout was scheduled for eight rounds.  In a second female bout, flyweight Gisela Noelia Quintanilla, 112, won by a third round TD over Carolina Ornella Ferrari, 111 1/4. The bout was scheduled for four rounds; in a third female bout, lightweight Maria Dolores Gomez, 132 1/4, won a four-round unanimous decision over Elizabeth Britos, 131.5.

Welterweight Marine Beau Champ, 145.5, won by a first round TKO over Kateyna Drozd, 145.5.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

Super featherweight Mea Motu won by a first round KO over Ayisha Abied, 0-3-0 going into the fight according to Box-“Wreck”.   The two were fighting for a vacant New Zealand Featherweight title.  The bout was scheduled for eight rounds.

Super lightweight Jaica Pavilus, 137.5, won by a six-round majority decision over Miranda Reyes, 140.5. 

February 11, 2022 – Corsódromo Municipal Atanasio Bonfiglio, Concordia, Entre Rios, Argentina
Super bantamweight Gloria Elena Yancaqueo, 121, won a four-round split decision over Antonella Shirley Molina, 120 1/4.

February 11, 2022 – Amazura Concert Hall, Queens, New York
Super featherweight Chiara Dituri won a six-round majority decision over Michelle Cook.

February 5, 2022 -Footprint Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
Jamie Mitchell defended the WBA Bantamweight title with a four round destruction over Carly Skelly at The Footprint Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.  The fight was Live on DAZN.  At the end of round one, Mitchell dropped Skelly with a hard left hook. Mitchell scored another knockdown in round two with a big right hand. In round four, Mitchell landed a vicious flurry of punches that included flush rights hands that snapped Skelly’s head back, and the fight was stopped at 1:32.  Mitchell of Las Vegas is 8-0-2 with five knockouts. Flyweight Veronica Ruiz, 111 1/4, won by a four-round majority decision over Sofia Daiana Mendez, 111 1/2.  In a second female bout, super bantamweight Maria Amalia Mazzarello, 120 1/4, won by a TKO in the second round over Daniela Arena, 121 1/2. The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

February 5, 2022 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, Wales, UK
Middleweight Claressa Shields, 159, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Ema Kozin.  The two were fighting for the WBC, WBA, IBA, and WBF  middleweight belts.

February 5, 2022 – Maria Enzersdorf, Austria
Featherweight Denise Stanojev, 130 1/2, won by a first round TKO over Nikolett Szabo, 135 1/2.  The bout was scheduled for four rounds.

March 26, 2022 – First Direct Arena, in Leeds, England
In a second attempt at winning a world title, Australian Ebanie Bridges, 117 1/4, now 8-1-0 (3KO) won the IBF World Bantamweight title.  She won the bout by a ten-round unanimous decision over Maria Cecilia Roman, 116.5. Final judges scores were 97-93, 97-93, and 100-91.

March 26, 2022 – Estadio Luna Park, Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina
Light flyweight Evelin Nazarena Bermudez, 107 3/4, won a fifth round TKO [1:36] over Debora Rengifo, 107.5.  The bout was scheduled for ten rounds.  The two were fighting for the IBF and vacant WBO Light flyweight title.

March 26, 2022 – Montreal Casino, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Welterweight Mary Spencer, 141 1/4, won by a first round KO over Beatriz Aguilar, 144 1/4. The bout was scheduled for six rounds.  In a second female bout super featherweight Leila Beaudoin, 130, won a six-round unanimous decision over Estefania Gonzalez Franco, 126 1/4.

March 26, 2022 – Plaza Mercado Nuevo Villa Nueva, Guatemala City, Guatemala
Minimum Hilary Romero lost a four-rounder against Eveling Junieth Ortega.

March 25, 2022 – Xochitepect, Morelos, in Mexico
Layla “Amazing” McCarter won a ten-round unanimous decision over Brazilian Halanna dos Santos. Final judges scores were 100-92, 100-90, and 98-92. McCarter is now 46-13-5 (11KO). There was another female bout on the card and we will report more when we get the information on that bout.

Middleweight Maricela Cornejo, 160, won an eight-round unanimous decision over Simone Aparecida da Silva, 158.  Final judges scores were 80-72, on all cards. In a second female bout, Yokaste Valle, 104.5, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Sana Hazuki, 104.5.  Final judges scores were 100-90 on all cards.  In a third female bout, bantamweight Adelaida Ruiz, 118, won by a third round TKO over Edith de Jesus Flores, 116.  In a fourth female bout, pro debuter Naomy Valle, 103, won by a third round TKO over Heydi Fernandez, 100, making her pro debut.  In a fifth female bout, super bantamweight Linn Sandstrom, 119 3/4, won by RTD in the third round over Cristel Ruiz, 122, pro debut. The bout was scheduled for six rounds. *There was one male bout scheduled on this card.

DUBAI – Estelle Mossely retained her IBO lightweight title with a split decision victory over Yanina del Carmen Lescano after an absorbing contest in Dubai.  Mossely and Lescano were making history by clashing in the first ever female world title fight to be held in the Middle East – and the fight lived up to expectations. Light flyweight Jessica Nery Plata, 107½, won by a ten-round split decision over Yesica Bopp, 108.  Final judges scores were 97-93, 93-97, and 96-94.  The two were fighting for the WBA Light flyweight title.  In a second female bout flyweight Clara Lescurat, 114, won a ten-round split decision over Nataly Delgado, 115.  The two were fighting for the vacant WBA flyweight title.

March 11, 2022 – Wind Creek Events Center, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
LeAnna Cruz,113¾, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, won a four-round unanimous decision over Anyela Lopez, 115¼.  In a press release by Split management, the day of  event, they said that they had five athletes under the Split-T Management banner  in action with three being featured on SHOBOX: The New Generation. Featherweight Skye Nicolson, 129, of Queensland, Australia, coming from an extensive amateur career, making her pro debut, won a six-round unanimous decision over Jessica “La Reyna” Juarez, 129, of San Diego.  Final judges scores were 54-60, 55-59, and 54-60.

Super flyweight Carla Ayelen Merino, 113 3/4, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Aixa Adema, 114 1/4. The two were fighting for a South American Super Flyweight title.

Featherweight Rebecca Hawker won an eight-round unanimous decison over Geeta Solanki.  In a second female bout flyweight Nicila Costello, won by a second round TKO over Natalie Hills in a scheduled eight rounder for a local Australian belt.

APRIL

April 30, 2022 – Biggest fight in History – Madison Square Garden, New York
In a history-first a female multi-world champion bout was featured in the main event, with a sold out crowd of well over 19,000 boxing fans.  The top champions, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano did not disappoint!  Taylor, 134½, of Bray, Ireland,  ultimately won a controversial split decision over Serrano, 133½, of Brooklyn, New York,  with final scoring of 96-94 (Serrano); 97-93 (Taylor), and 96-94 (Taylor), with Taylor retaining her WBC, WBO, IBF, and WBA Lightweight titles.

Junior welterweight Hayley Adrian, 140.5, pr debut, won a four-round majority decision over Sussana Robertazzi, 139, pro debut.

Alycia Baumgardner, now 12-1-0 (7KO), of Bingham Farm, Michigan won a ten-round unanimous decision over Edith Soledad Matthysse, 17-12-1 (1KO), of Argentina.  The two were fighting for the WBC and IBO Super Featherweight titles.  Scores were 100-90 on all cards.

Mikaela Mayer, 129¾, of Woodland, Hills, California, in the mainliner residing in Colorado, successfully defended her world titles against Jennifer Han,128¾, of El Paso, Texas. The two were fighting for the WBO/IBF Super Featherweight titles. The bout was televised on ESPN. Scores: 100-90, 100-90, 99-91.  In a second female bout, Virginia Fuchs, 109 3/4, won by a four-round KO over Randee Lynn Morales, 110.5. The bout was scheduled for six rounds. Fuchs was making her pro debut.

April 9, 2022 – Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas
Marlen Esparza, 111.5, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Naoko Fujioka, 111.5.  The two were fighting for the WBC and WBA Flyweight title.  Final judges scores were 100-90 on all cards.

April 9, 2022 – Dominican Republic
Puerto Rico’s Nicole “La intocable” Ocasio under the management of Amanda Serrano made her pro debut. The up and comer won by a first round KO, when she took Soranyi Montero to the corner and unleashed in her opponents home town of Santo Domingo.  Source/Facebook

In a fourth female bout, in a battle of the super flyweights, Chloe Watson, 113.5, won by points in a four-round bout over Gemme Ruegg, 113.5. MTK Global Wrote the following:   Savannah Marshall picked up another massive knockout win as she retained her WBO middleweight title against Femke Hermans.   Marshall put her belt on the line for the third time against Hermans at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.  There was a packed crowd in attendance to witness the fight, and Marshall (12-0, 10 KOs) once again display her huge power, as she knocked out Hermans (12-4, 5 KOs) at the end of the third round.  It means that ‘The Silent Assassin’ has moved a step closer to a summer showdown with Claressa Shields, and Marshall feels the American won’t be able to take her punches.

Ramona Kuehne from Germany held the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World Super Featherweight title between 2010 and 2014, making five successful defenses and lever lost the title in the ring.  More than eight years later, she is now a two-time WBF World Super Featherweight Champion after reclaiming the vacant title.  At the Paul Greifzu Stadium, Kuehne (42) won a unanimous decision over Yuliia Kutsenko from Russia, proving that she is still one of the very best in her weight-class.  Judge Dominic Kuhaupt scored the fight 98-92, judge Benny Decroos scored it 98-93, while judge Jan Teleki saw it closer at 96-94.  Also a former WBO and WIBF world champion, Kuehne improved her pro record 33-1 (13). Kutsenko (33) falls to 9-4-1 (4).  Dessauer Boxnacht was promoted by Enrico Schnurre.

LONDON (Oct. 16, 2022) — Last night Alycia Baumgardner (13-1, 7 KOs) is now one step closer to becoming undisputed champion after scoring a razor-thin split decision victory over Mikaela Mayer (17-1, 5 KOs) to unify the WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine junior lightweight titles Saturday evening at The O2 Arena.

Alexa Kubicki, 111, won an eight-round bout by a unanimous decision over Xenia Jorneac, 110 1/4.  Final Judges Scores were 78-76, 77-75, and 77-75.

October 8, 2022 – Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, California
Gabriela Fundora, 111 1/4, of Coachella, California, won by a ten round unanimous decision over Naomi Arellano Reyes, 111 1/2, of Tepic, Mexico.  The two were fighting for the WBC Latino Flyweight title.  Fundora continues to display excellent skills as she did in this fight.  Final judges scores were 99-91, 99-91, and 98-92.  Fundora remains undefeated with a 9-0-0 (4KO), and Reyes is now 9-2-0 (5KO).

With her opponent already entering the ring with a 53 losses as a pro, now 54 losses, where Nina Meinke, 127¾, won a six-round unanimous record over Karina Szmalenberg, of Poland.  Szmalenberg had 15 straight losses before entering the ring….this was a co-main of the evening….Final judges scores were 59-55, 60-54, 60-54.

Phannarai Netisri, now 12-0-0 (5KO), of Bangkok, Thailand, 121¾, won a ten-round unanimous decision over Ana Arrazola, 121¼, of Mexico.  The two were fighting for the WBF Super Bantamweight title.  Arrazola is now 28-16-3 (14 KO).

Enerolisa de Leon, 125.5,  from The Dominican Republic shocked reigning champion Elina Tissen, 126,  to win the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women’s World Featherweight title on Saturday November 19 in Warendorf, Germany.  Fighting out of Madrid, Spain, the 40-year-old challenger showed that age is just a number, as she pressured the home-town favorite from the first bell and unsettled the champion, proving very focused and determined.

After more than 300 days away from the ring, Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada made her triumphant ring return, defending her WBA minimumweight world title with a one-sided decision over Argentina’s Jazmin Gala Villarino. All three judges had the bout a shutout, 100-90, and Estrada outlanded her foe, 210-121.  Estrada (23-0, 9 KOs) came back in fine form, keeping Villarino off balance by switching from orthodox to southpaw and back again. Villarino (6-2-2, 1 KO) hung tough and landed her share of clean shots, a phone booth affair that culminated in a toe-to-toe 10th round.

–Golden Boy Fight Night: LA Edition closed the year with an action-packed night at The Commerce Casino and Hotel with a statement-making second-round knockout victory by NABF Welterweight titleholder Raul “Cugar” Curiel (12-0, 10 KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico. Curiel successfully defended his title against Douglasville, Georgia’s Brad Solomon (29-6, 9 KOs). Scheduled for 10-rounds, Solomon only lasted 44-seconds into the second-round. The explosive fights were broadcast worldwide live on DAZN. Opening up Golden Boy Fight Night: LA Edition, Bergen, Norway’s Cecilia “First Lady” Braekhus (37-2, 9 KOs) secured the unanimous victory against Marisa “La Nena La Piba” Portillo (19-16-3, 4 KOs) in a six-round super welterweight fight. Ebanie Bridges, 117 ¼, in an action-packed fight, she retained her IBF Bantamweight World title when she stopped Shannon O’Connell, 117 ¾ in the eighth round of a ten-round bout. O’Connell was down in the third round, and in the eighth round Bridges through a barrage of combinations where the ref stopped the fight 1:45 minutes in that round.
