Caroline “Sweet Caroline” Dubois is a unified world champion and one of the most technically gifted southpaw fighters in modern women’s boxing. Born on January 11, 2001, in London, England, she has quickly risen to the pinnacle of the lightweight division while establishing a legacy alongside her older brother, IBF World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Dubois.
Raised in a large, single-parent family by her father, a native of Grenada, boxing was central to the Dubois household. At age nine, Caroline desperately wanted to train at the prestigious Repton Amateur Boxing Club in London, the same high-level gym where her brother Daniel trained.
Because the elite boxing club did not allow young girls to train at the time, she and her father devised a scheme: she disguised herself as a boy named “Colin.” For her first several months at the gym, she trained, sparred, and blended in entirely as a boy just to get her foot in the door. By the time her true identity was revealed, her exceptional natural talent was undeniable, and she was permitted to stay.
Dubois compiled one of the most flawless amateur runs in British boxing history, racking up 35 wins against just 2 losses before entering the senior ranks. Fighting at the youth level, she went completely undefeated on the international stage. Her extensive accolades include:

Dubois made her professional debut on February 5, 2022, securing a dominant points victory over Vaida Masiokaite in Cardiff. Walking out to her trademark theme song “Sweet Caroline,” she immediately caught the attention of the boxing world with her lightning-fast southpaw jab and flawless footwork.
The First Title: In September 2023, she won the IBO lightweight title by outclassing Magali Rodriguez via a shutout unanimous decision.
- WBC Elevation: In August 2024, Dubois captured the interim WBC lightweight title by dominating Maira Moneo over 10 rounds. In December 2024, she was officially upgraded to full WBC World Lightweight Champion after Katie Taylor vacated the strap.
- Defending and Unifying: After a technical draw against Jessica Camara in January 2025 due to an accidental head clash, Dubois defended her WBC title at the Royal Albert Hall in March 2025 against Bo Mi Re Shin.
