Angie “The Assassin” Woolum, 26, 5′ 4 1/2″ , 125 lbs., and from West Virginia, is a new up-and-coming fighter to be on the lookout as she is already making her mark in professional boxing. To look at Woolum, one would never guess what she does for a living. She is a young, attractive college student during the day, but after hours—she trains everyday and already is ranked #9 in the world as a featherweight contender with the IFBA (International Female Boxers Association). Angie took a break from boxing to go to school, but has been back in training in the year 2004!
Woolum is a natural athlete, who has excelled in basketball, softball, kickboxing, weightlifting and skiing. She is one of six children, and has always been naturally competitive— and tough she is, as she usually comes out the winner in anything she puts her mind to compete in.
Woolum is a former Homecoming Queen, and is presently a student at Marshall University. She is very devoted to her family and enjoys working with kids.
TL Fox spoke with Woolum on many times, and was impressed with her determination, and commitment to continue to grow as a professional athletic.

Woolum takes pride in the fact that she is highly spiritual. She has never been into drinking, smoking, or drugs and has always felt very strongly about not doing those types of things. One of her stronger passions is doing motivational speaking in schools.
As Woolum said in an interview–It’s her goal to become a positive role model for young people. She hopes to take the sport of female boxing to the next level, showing the public what it takes to be a champion in this new, challenging arena. Her amateur record is 13-0 (8KO’s), and pro record is currently 3-1 (1KO).
Highlights of Woolum’s boxing career:
3/8/00 Woolum defeated Linda Tenberg with a 4-round Majority Decision in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Featherweight division.
10/14/99 Woolum (125) defeated Brenda Rodriguez (128) in a 4-round unanimous decision in Columbus, Ohio.
6/3/99 Beverly Szymanski (127 1/2) defeated Woolum (127 1/2) in a four-round unanimous decision. WBAN would consider this fight a possible mismatch as Szymanski had much more experience than Woolum who was just beginning to box. WBAN would like to see a rematch since Woolum has gained more experience and skill.
