On July 26, 2025, the National Harbor in Maryland hosted the “Boxing Showcase, DMV Elite.” Sponsored by Tanger Outlets in Oxon Hill, Maryland, and promoted by Darrell Davis. The tournament took place outdoors, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The event was sanctioned by USA Boxing and hosted by 2 Fly Boxing.

Wanda Countiss, Vice-President of the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame posing with amateur boxer who was awarded a WBAN Mini-belt at the tournament.
Among the standout performances of the day, two amateur female boxers Mila Torres, 11, and Dalyzmar Seda, 9, were awarded a WBAN Mini Belt.

Dalyzmar Seda, 9 years olds
This is a history-first for the WBAN Mini Belt to be awarded to amateur female boxers for their performance in their competition, and to a physician that has 25 years of service doing this in the sport.

In addition, Dr. Marilyn Corder, a pediatrician whose 25 years of service as a ringside physician was also acknowledged with a WBAN Mini-belt.
The “Boxing Showcase, DMV Elite” on July 26, 2025, was more than just a tournament; it was a celebration of talent, dedication, and community spirit.
I would like to personally thank Wanda Countiss for being part of this event by presenting our WBAN Mini-belts to the two female amateur boxers and Dr. Marilyn Corder.
