In 2005, Celina Salazar first participated in the amateurs and she won a National title in the Silver Gloves in the Kansas. In 2006, she won the San Antonio Regional Golden Gloves.
In 2007, Celina then graduated from McCollum High School. Celina is now a criminal justice major at Palo Alto.

On April 24, 2009, Celina, 123¾, made her pro debut when she fought Lisa Lamb, 122, at the Escapade Plaza, Dallas, Texas, in a four-rounder on the undercard. She won by a unanimous decision with scores of 40-36.
On September 26, 2009, at the Randy’s Ballroom, San Antonio, Texas, she then fought Yvonne Rodriguez, 126, where the fight ended in a four-round split decision in favor of her, which brought her record to 2-0-0 (0KO). Link to story
On December 17, 2009, at the Event Center, San Antonio, Texas, Celina, 125½, had a four-round majority decision over Christina Ruiz, 124½.
In 2010, on August 6th, at the Hard Rock Casino, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Celina, 122¾, had to settle for a split draw with Nohime Dennisson, 123¾. WBAN Report
