Welterweight Diane Schwachhofer, 5’7”, 141 lbs., born in Liège, Belgium, on February 17, 1965. Schwachhofer trains out of Blaton, and currently lives in Quaregnon, Belgium. Schwachhofer fought 14 amateur bouts, with a record of 8-5-1, before turning pro on May 17, 2008. Schwachhofer won her pro debut against Jessica Balogun with a six-round decision.

Schwachhofer told WBAN, “When I was six years old, I began to participating in sports, that included riding horses, and Judo-Karate.”
“Because I did not fall well when riding horses, my mother put me in judo lessons so that I would learn how to fall, and then be able to stand up”, added Schwachhofer.
Schwachhofer was in a club that put on competitions, and she participated in riding horses, and later became a teacher for others in teaching how to ride horses. Schwachhofer said, “I worked many years with horses, that included race horses.”
Schwachhofer said that when she turned 35 years old, she decided to get into kickboxing. After about two years, she got into women’s boxing.
“I had my first amateur fight when I was 38 years old. I won that fight. It was for a Holland Sud Title, but they didn’t give it to me because I was too old,” said Schwachhofer.
Schwachhofer said that after accumulating a 8-5-1 record, she stopped boxing, but returned to the sport after a year.
